About Our Reports
How quickly will I receive my report?
Most reports are delivered in under 5 minutes. In rare cases where records require manual verification, you'll receive your report within 24 hours. We'll notify you immediately if there's any delay.
What sources do you use for the reports?
We aggregate data from public sources including county recorder offices, FEMA flood maps, EPA environmental databases, tax assessors, building departments, and court records. Every data point is cited with its source.
Is this the same as a home inspection?
No — a home inspection evaluates the current physical condition of a property. A HomeTrace report uncovers the property's history: past ownership, permits, liens, environmental risks, and legal issues that a physical inspection can't reveal. We recommend using both.
How accurate are your reports?
We maintain a 99.7% accuracy rate across all report categories. Every data point is verified against its primary source. If you find an inaccuracy, our research team will investigate and issue a corrected report within 48 hours at no charge.
Can I share the report with my real estate agent or lender?
Absolutely. Every report comes with a secure shareable link and a downloadable PDF. Membership plan users can white-label reports with their own branding.
Do you cover properties in all 50 states?
Yes. We have coverage across all 50 states, though the depth of available public records varies by county. Our reports clearly indicate when data for a specific category is limited in your area.
Pricing & Billing
How much does a report cost?
A single report is $5.99. Our Basic Bundle (10 reports) is $28.00 ($2.80 each) and our Value Bundle (30 reports) is $59.00 ($1.97 each). We also offer monthly membership plans starting at $30/month.
Do bundle credits expire?
No. Credits from our Basic Bundle and Value Bundle plans never expire. Use them whenever you're ready — there's no rush.
Can I cancel my membership anytime?
Yes. All membership plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. Cancel anytime from your account dashboard — no questions asked.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. We offer a full 30-day money-back guarantee on all purchases. If you're not satisfied with your report for any reason, contact us for a complete refund.
Can I upgrade my plan later?
Absolutely. You can upgrade from any plan at any time. If you move from a bundle to a membership, any unused credits carry over.

Do you store my reports?
Reports are available in your account for 12 months after purchase. You can download the PDF at any time during that period. After 12 months, you can re-run the report at a discounted rate.
Can anyone run a report on my property?
HomeTrace reports use publicly available records — the same data anyone can access by visiting county offices in person. We simply aggregate and organize this information for convenience.

Do you offer plans for real estate agents?
Yes. Our membership plans are designed for agents and investors who need reports regularly. The Pro Plan ($59/month for 40 reports) and Premium Plan ($99/month for 75 reports) include white-label PDF options.
Can I white-label reports with my branding?
Yes. Membership plan subscribers can customize reports with their logo, contact information, and brand colors. This is available on all membership tiers.
Do you offer an API?
